This has been our mission since day one, and every year an amazing group of people at XYZ dedicate themselves to this mission by working with our customers to advance the use of augmented reality in construction to support project delivery.

This year was no exception, as we collaborated with some of the largest contractors and asset owners in the mission critical space to help manage and build projects right, first time.

Results

• Headquartered in London, XYZ is a leading global developer of augmented reality (AR) solutions for construction. In 2023 XYZ was deployed on projects in 16 countries across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, and Japan.

• XYZ was used to save more than $44 million in avoided costs across a $10 billion project portfolio.

• The total combined project value of projects using XYZ was over $10 billion.

• More than 27 XYZ field application engineers were deployed on customer projects ensuring adoption and success.

• XYZ was used to conduct more than 21,000 quality inspections covering over 3,000,000 square meters.

• The Atom was used in the field for a total of 78,000 hours, conducting more than 44,000 inspections over 3,000,000 square meters.

Product

In August 2023, XYZ introduced new functionality that gives construction project teams unprecedented insights and tracking capabilities. With the platform’s expansion into project controls, construction project teams can deploy XYZ Reality’s field engineering solution and award-winning AR headset, the Atom™, to accurately track installation progress using 3D holograms and enhance the process for managing project costs and schedules.

People

• By the end of 2023 there will be more than 100 full-time XYZ employees, which includes our first hires in the United States, where we opened our second office in Santa Barbara, Calif.

• Expanded the leadership team with the promotion of Harry Battu to Chief Revenue Officer & Chief Marketing Officer, and welcomed John Haddick as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

• Furthered the company’s digital construction expertise with the appointment of Will Squires as Director of Product Strategy.
